This situation has worsened because we’ve allowed so called ‘urban bandits’ not those hiding in the forests, but those operating in cities to take control of leadership.
The real problem, as former Governor Babangida also pointed out, is that we keep handing leadership to incompetent individuals. Many of them don’t understand governance. They know how to seize power, but they have no clue what to do with it once they have it.
