TINUBU RECEIVES BUHARI’S PRAISE AND COUNSEL AT MIDTERM
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on reaching the midterm mark of his administration, emphasizing that leadership is a continuous journey that requires patience, support, and resilience.
In a statement marking Tinubu’s two years in office, Buhari urged Nigerians and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain steadfast in their support for the government. He noted that while important reforms are underway, their impact will take time to materialize.
“Meaningful change doesn’t happen overnight,” Buhari stated. “We must not allow necessary reforms to be derailed by the distractions of domestic politics.
The former president expressed support for Tinubu’s efforts to combat inflation and reduce poverty—challenges he acknowledged have hit the country’s poorest the hardest. However, he stressed that these issues are too complex to be tackled by the government alone.
“All of us, including the private sector and citizens, must play our part,” he said.
Buhari encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and confident about the nation’s future. “Our expectations of government must remain realistic,” he cautioned.
In closing, he offered his best wishes to President Tinubu:
